Sweet Italian sausage meat
1/4 tsp.

1/4 tsp.
Pepper
3/4 tsp.
Garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp.
Italian seasoning
VEGETABLES & GARNISH
3/4 oz.
Stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 oz.
Onion, diced, 1/4 inch
1 1/2 oz.
Zucchini, cut in 1/2 inch slices
Pinch
Cracked black pepper
CHEESE
1 1/2 oz.
Fontina cheese, shredded
2 oz.
Parmesan cheese, grated
POLENTA
3 oz.
Polenta, prepared, cut into 3 half-inch thick slices
1 tsp.
Olive oil
Directions
STEP 1
Brown turkey and the sausage meat separately. Mix the Turkey and sausage meat. Season with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a sauté pan and cook the Turkey mixture until cooked thoroughly. Reserve.
STEP 2
Add garlic and onions to the pan and sauté for 1 minute until caramelized. Add the zucchini and tomatoes. Sauté another minute and add the turkey mixture. Simmer for 2 minutes over medium heat.
STEP 3
Brush the polenta discs with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350° F until golden brown. Remove and reserve.
STEP 4
To serve, spoon the turkey mixture over the polenta discs and sprinkle with Fontina cheese. Bake until melted. Garnish with cracked black pepper.
